Dear students and parents,
Welcome to BLMS!  I look forward to getting to know each of you over the next year!  I would like to introduce myself to you so that you can get to know me too!  This is my third year here at BLMS. I have been teaching Physical Education/ Health for five years. In my spare time I enjoy playing various sports and video games. Currently I am coaching JV. Volleyball and in the winter and spring I will be coaching JV. Basketball and Track.  I love our school and I think that we have a really great P.E. program here.  I hope that you will enjoy it, too.
This year we will cover many new activities.  We will begin the year with our physical fitness pre-testing.  We will do a pre-test, in August/January and a post-test in October/March. This way, students can see at what level of physical fitness they are currently and can make goals for improving in the future.  This year the units that we will cover include: Cooperative/Recreational Games, Volleyball, Basketball, Rhythmic Activities and Archery.
Some things to keep in mind...
·          students must have a Physical Ed/Health Folder or notebook
·          student must dress out for PE every day
.          students must dress out every Wednesday (during Health)
·          students must have a parent note to excuse them from activity in PE (limit 2 notes per semester)
·          no jewelry or gum is allowed in PE
·           I expect all students to show respect for themselves and others.
Please keep in mind that I am available after school on Wednesday’s for make ups.  Make-ups include the half-mile run, sports skills tests, physical fitness tests, etc.  Please let me know in advance if you will be making up an assignment so that I may check my schedule.  Thanks!
I hope this information is helpful to you.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with a question or concern.  The best way is via email at aenwright@lex3.k12.us.sc.  You may also leave a message for me at 803-532-3831 and I will return your call.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my page!  Have a great day!
